Multi‑Axis CNC Programmer – Precision Engineering Excellence

Are you a skilled CNC Programmer with a passion for complex machining, tight tolerances, and high‑performance manufacturing?

RHA Recruitment Solutions is ken to speak to experienced Multi‑Axis CNC Programmers to join an advanced engineering team and play a key role in producing high‑integrity components for demanding applications.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and optimising multi‑axis CNC machines (3/4/5‑axis), ensuring efficient, accurate, and repeatable production. Working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams, you’ll help drive machining excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and optimise CNC programs for multi‑axis machining centres

  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirements

  • Select tooling, work‑holding, and machining strategies for maximum efficiency

  • Set and prove out new programs on the shop floor

  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements

  • Work with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360, Mastercam, HyperMill, Edgecam)

  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional control

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure first‑time‑right output

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience programming multi‑axis CNC machines

  • Strong understanding of machining principles, feeds/speeds, and toolpaths

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software

  • A methodical, detail‑driven approach to precision engineering

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
