Multi‑Axis CNC Programmer – Precision Engineering Excellence

RHA Recruitment Solutions is ken to speak to experienced Multi‑Axis CNC Programmers to join an advanced engineering team and play a key role in producing high‑integrity components for demanding applications.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for programming, setting, and optimising multi‑axis CNC machines (3/4/5‑axis), ensuring efficient, accurate, and repeatable production. Working closely with engineering, quality, and production teams, you’ll help drive machining excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Create, edit, and optimise CNC programs for multi‑axis machining centres
Interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and GD&T requirements
Select tooling, work‑holding, and machining strategies for maximum efficiency
Set and prove out new programs on the shop floor
Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements
Work with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360, Mastercam, HyperMill, Edgecam)
Maintain high standards of accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional control
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure first‑time‑right output
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience programming multi‑axis CNC machines
Strong understanding of machining principles, feeds/speeds, and toolpaths
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models
Experience with CAD/CAM software
A methodical, detail‑driven approach to precision engineering
Strong problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
